Ubin Outing...

erm... finally able to blog liao... dun noe wad was wrong in the afternn... but anyway... 9 pple turned up for the ubin trip today... haha... deserve mention in this entry: yw, cj, wk, jy, wx, set, jas, soon kueh n me... not too bad a grp size after all, we realised... yup... n for the benefit of those who dint go today *it was such a pity*... i shall giv a write-up on wad happened today:
1) met at tanah merah mrt station... haha... surprisingly... jas wasn't the latest to arrive as i predicted... tho strictly speakin he was one of the last lah... haha... n of course... set dint fail to surprise us wif his branded HUGO BOSS bag n sleeveless shirt... haha... cool... :)
2) boarded bus to travel to changi beach... ok... the bus was super crowded... n we waited quite long for it anyway... so after like 30min bus journey we finally arrived at changi village... where we had a quick breakfast of nasi lemak for the guys... haha... n we were on our way to the jetty...
3) ferry, or rather, bumboat trip took abt 10min or so... the engine was so nosiy tt we had to raise our voices when speakin to each other even tho we were less than 2m apart frm each other... coated ourselves wif our armour: insect repellant... n it was quite an experience...
4) reached ubin... hired 9 suspension bikes for 7 bucks each for the whole day... quite a gd deal lah... tho the auntie refused to cut the price any further... den had a gd time tryin to teach the gals how to use the gears... *actually... i also juz learned today... but i guess i faked it off quite well???* haha... n wif tt... we set off on our bicycle journey proper... :)
5) erm... due to limited memory space... i cant rmb exactly where we went in detail... so i shall jus mention abt the more significant places... ok... we went to the beach where i tink the class pple went the last time as well... took a few pics there... n had a great time crappin abt how a particular chinese man went into the toilet n turned out to be an Indian cleaner... haha... *well... the truth is tt he left lah... but we dint c him go...*... after much bustling arnd... we finally took our photos... den headed off to a nearby hut to buy drinks... n i saw my first wild boar there... wah... it is quite huge sia... haha... ;)... wif regards to the concern tt our bikes might get stolen... quotin jas: " well... its not our i/c anyway..." *wx used her i/c to rent the bikes for us... so if anythin goes wrong... well... wx is responsible...* haha... we r soooo evil!!!
6) cycled to a construction site... realised tt we cant go any further n decided to turn back... the rest sped very fast... n yw was laggin behind... oops... n she fell... but luckily it wasn't serious... but wad happened was tt the two of us got lost frm the big grp... n upon returnin to the cross-road... decided to take a risk n go the path which we tot the rest will go... but after goin along tt path for some time... realised smth amiss... cos by now the big grp shld hav realised tt we were missin... n accordin to wad they shld hav done... cj shld well be on his way to look for us... but he wasn't... so we headed back to the cross-roads... where cj came along quite soon... n told us tt we were actually on the rite path... argh!!! if we had gone on further... we wld hav seen the rest... haha... so we took a lot of yuan wang lu... attempted to climb up a steep uphill slope followed by a downhill which totally felt like a roller-coaster ride... haha... :)
7) decided to hike up to the quarry top... at first we were worried tt we will be lost... so yw drew some "muah chee" stuff on the leaves as we walked along... in the end... the hike was a very short one... but the view we had of the quarry was awesome... the lake was very blue... n the whole picture was juz so... haha... erm... lost for words... haha... but we took pics there as well... haha...
8) erm... realised tt part 7 is b4 the part where the missing in action episode took place... but nvm lah... things r not in chronological order here... :) after reachin the thai temple... decided to take a trek deep into the forest to c where it wld lead us to... along the way... commented abt how mosquitoes can easily breed in the numerous puddles of water there... yup... n wif the recent Dengue fever scare... this is absolutely not tolerable!!!... haha... but anyway... we dint manage to trek to the end... cos it was startin to rain n we cld c no end to the trek as yet... n set was moanin abt how hungry he was... haha...
9) chionged back to the jetty... where we had our lunch at the seafood restaurant there... n had a gd time crappin abt a lot of cu su stuff... n of course... watchin 3 cats do their "threesome" act... hahaha... super funny... guess we were most prob the most noisy grp there... hahaha... yup... followin tt was home cos we really dint hav much energy left to continue our exploration... :)... my overall comments for the outin was it was really fruitful n fun... those who dint join us really missed out quite some fun lor... hahaha... ok... shall sign off here... :)
